Seaside Home Health Aides provide a variety of care services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Our case Home Health Aides help clients, and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care, and compassion.

The Home Health Aide’s responsibilities include helping the client with day-to-day tasks, like bathing and dressing. They may also be responsible for light housekeeping duties.

To be successful as a Home Health Aide, you should be a nurturing individual who can handle a wide range of tasks while building a relationship with the client. It is also important for our Home Health Aide to be able to separate the client from his/her situation, limitations, or disease. Outstanding candidates possess the mental strength and resilience to care for clients and are also able to provide emotional support to family members.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ Reflect the core values of Bidwell Care Holdings, LLC
⦁ Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
⦁ Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions to appropriate team member
⦁ Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff
⦁ Utilize operational portal to stay up to date on schedule and client information
⦁ Respond to office communication within two hours, or when your visit ends
⦁ Follow all guidelines set forth in Seaside Home Health Care Policies, Scopes of Service, and Client’s Plan of Care
⦁ Traveling to Clients’ homes and following their care plans
⦁ Medication reminders
⦁ Listening to the concerns of family members and answering their questions
⦁ Assist/perform daily living activities
⦁ Transporting client to appointments
⦁ Monitor the client’s vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate team member
⦁ Assist client with mobility while maintaining a safe environment
⦁ Assist with the use of appropriate DME
⦁ Provide companionship and basic emotional support

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ Participate in In-Service and continuing education training and mandatory employee meetings
⦁ Manage true availability and communicate changes in a timely manner
⦁ Participate in regular Satisfaction Surveys
⦁ Document client information electronically after every visit
⦁ Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

⦁ Relevant certifications
⦁ Must be at least 21 years of age
⦁ Valid Driver’s License
⦁ Reliable Transportation
⦁ Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
⦁ The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary
⦁ Excellent report-writing skills
⦁ Active listening skills and empathy
⦁ Effective communication skills
⦁ Excellent organizational and time management skills
⦁ Compassionate with teamwork skills
